Privacy Policy

Bible & Stoic · Last updated 18 September 2026

The short version

Bible & Stoic has no account, no sign-in, and no server. We do not collect, receive, or store anything about you. Everything you write — highlights, notes, bookmarks, commitments — is saved on your device and nowhere else.

There is no analytics SDK, no crash reporter, no advertising, and no third-party tracker in this app. The app is free, and there is nothing in it to buy.

What the app stores, and where

All of it stays in your device’s own app storage:

The home-screen widget reads a copy of the next seven days of verses and passages from a container shared between the app and the widget. That copy contains only the published texts — none of your notes.

Deleting the app deletes all of it. There is no copy anywhere else for us to hand back to you, which is why the Library tab has an Export button.

What leaves your device

Two things, and neither of them is content you wrote:

Your phone’s own backup. If you use iCloud Backup or Android’s automatic backup, your device may include this app’s stored data in that backup. That is your backup, in your account, under your platform’s privacy policy — we have no access to it. You can turn it off in your device settings.

Anything you share on purpose. When you tap Share, the app renders an image and hands it to your system share sheet. Where it goes from there is your choice and the receiving app’s business.

Notifications

Reminders are scheduled locally by your device. Nothing is sent through a push server — there is no push server. A reminder’s text may include the theme of the day, the day’s question, or a commitment you wrote, which means it can appear on your lock screen. If that matters to you, your system settings let you hide notification previews, or you can leave reminders off; they ship turned off.

Children

The app has no accounts, no chat, no user-generated content that anyone else can see, and no advertising. It collects nothing from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the new version will be published here with a new date. Since the app collects nothing, we do not expect it to.
